Deren Akin

II am a teenage author and artist currently based in Miami. The Shards in Your Eyes is my first novella which is based on a short story I wrote back in 2020. Throughout the year I travel between various cities such as Berlin, New York, and London, which are all places I consider to be my second home. Originally, I was born in Istanbul Türkiye though I moved to Germany when I was 7 years old. Writing and creating art has been a part of my life for as long as I can remember, and I hope to tell stories and reflect the different aspects of life in my works.
